3 Blogging To Do's to Kick off 2008

Monday December 31, 2007

Tomorrow is the first day of a new year, which means it's the perfect time to think about your blogging goals for 2008 and make some plans to help you meet those goals. Following are Three Blogging To Do's to Kick off 2008 to help you start the new year on the right foot.

3 Blogging To Do's to Kick off 2008

  1. Post frequently: Make an effort in 2008 to keep your blog fresh and interesting by publishing meaningful posts at least three times per week (the more, the better).
  2. Prioritize comments: Make responding to comments on your blog and leaving comments on blogs you visit a priority in 2008 to generate a conversation and keep that conversation going (conversation builds a sense of community).
  3. Be social: Part of your blog's success is directly related to your promotion efforts. In the blogosphere, much of that promotion is contingent upon the amount of time you spend socializing online by bookmarking blog posts on social bookmarking sites like Digg or StumbleUpon, networking on social websites such as Facebook or LinkedIn and participating in forums, online groups and more. Every effort you make to communicate about you, your blog and the blogosphere at large is time well spent in building the long-term success of your blog.

After tonight's celebrations wind down and you have some time to think about your plan for your blog in 2008 and beyond, remember these three blogging to do's for 2008 and start the new year off with a bang.
