Need Help Finding Blogs?

Friday March 7, 2008

With millions and millions of blogs online, it can be very difficult to find blogs dedicated to specific topics you enjoy. If you're looking for blogs to read or bloggers to network with, there are a number of great websites that can help you find what you need.

As an example, Technorati is one of the largest blog search directories which tracks over 100 million blogs. You can search blog posts or blogs on Technorati using keywords, find popular blogs and more. You can follow the link to learn more about finding blogs through blog search directories, search engines and other helpful resources.

I use Technorati to search for the blogs I am interested in viewing and you can get very specific in what you want to view with Long-Tail-keywords. For example if I search for “traffic” I get 464,954 blogs on traffic, which is very overwhelming. However if I search for “increase targeted web site traffic” I get 4949 blogs which is still a large amount of blogs but much better than 464,954. Hope this helps you find more blogs you are interested in.

You’re absolutely right, Jim. In fact, you’ve motivated me to put together an article about long-tail keywords to get bloggers thinking about developing niche content rather than broader content.
