Thanks for the information. I can’t decide whether to do this or not. It isn’t likely to make much money and it might look tacky. But is it any more tacky than running adsense on a blog? I don’t know. LOL.

JCH, I know what you mean. It’s definitely not going to help you make much money, but if you have room in your sidebar, it can’t hurt. :)

This doesnt seem to work. I added one to my blog to accept donations for our adoption expenses and they asked for proof of our tax exempt status and other information that would only have if you are an official non profit

Jennifer, you have to use your social security number. If you don’t have a business tax ID, then your SSN is what individuals use.

I’d surely try this. Thank you for the information. This will help my blog a lot in receiving donations for the flood victims in my country and other countries affected by the recent storms in South East Asia.

The Philippines is still in need of more donations for the victims of the 2 recent typhoons which hit the country the past 2 weekends.

An American Entrepreneur already offered help by giving away $50 each to chosen people in the Philippines who are personally extending help to their own relatives, family members, friends, neighbors, and even strangers who are greatly affected by the strong storms. He even created a site that gave way for soliciting help around the globe. He has started the movement. Let us offer help in any way we can.

No amount is too little when it comes from the heart.
