How Often Should You Publish New Posts on Your Blog?

If your goal is to grow your blog, then it's important to understand how your blog posting frequency can affect the amount of new and repeat visitors you'll attract to your blog.

Your blog posting frequency has a direct impact on your blog's traffic. Fewer blog posts equals fewer visitors over time and more posts equals more visitors. Of course, the quality of blog posts as well as their relevancy to your blog's topic and their timeliness also affect your blog's traffic.

Actually, there is a simple answer:

As often as you have something good to say that your readers care about, in your neck/niche of the blogosphere.

That’s it.

Of course, if that’s less than once a week, or - egad - less than once a month, then it’s not much of a blog.

But, unless it’s a personal diary blog, that Grandma is going to read no matter what, don’t publish posts until you have something interesting to say, and you ahve time to write it up well.
