Sign Up for Free Access to Encyclopedia Britannica Online

Wednesday April 30, 2008

Encyclopedia Britannica is offering its online content for free to people who maintain websites (including blogs). Instead of needing a paid subscription to search and access the Enyclopedia Britannica Online, you can submit a form to request access via the 1-year free subscription program.

With the 1-year free subscription, you'll also be able to include links to Encyclopedia Britannica online content on your blog. Your blog readers will be able to click on the links and view the content on Encyclopedia Britannica Online even if they don't have a subscription.

I submitted my request for a free subscription this morning. While Wikipedia is the source bloggers usually turn to for reference material, Encyclopedia Britannica offers more reliable content, so this is a great opportunity for bloggers to be able to use it.

You can follow the links to sign up for your free subscription to Encyclopedia Britannica Online.
