CouponChief.com Launches Pays-2-Share Affiliate Program

Thursday September 4, 2008

CouponChief.com is a website that helps visitors find and share coupons to help save on all kinds of items. Last month, CouponChief.com launched a new affiliate advertising program where users can upload coupons to the Pays-2-Share program site and earn 2% cash back on all purchases made from those coupons up to a maximum of $25 per month per store.

The interesting part of this announcement is the new monetization opportunity that Pays-2-Share offers bloggers in an affiliate-like program. Bloggers who participate in the Pays-2-Share program can include up to 5 coupons in a CouponChief.com widget, which they can embed in their blogs. The widget can also be added to websites and social networking profiles. Participants can earn 2% cash back from users who make a purchase as a result of clicking through their coupon widget.

Statistics from CouponChief.com show that coupon use is up 32% with the high price gas and the economic downturn causing the increase. According to CouponChief, a new user already earned $166 in just 9 days of signing up for the program. Of course, the more coupons you upload, the more you can make, but what's interesting to me about this program is the opportunities for bloggers. I could see this being a great way to monetize niche blogs that are related to products that lend themselves to coupon use. The first blog topics that come to mind are beauty and style, baby and parenting, cooking, or gadgets.

What do you think of the Pays-2-Share affiliate program?
