Wordpress Adds Polling Option to Dashboard with PollDaddy Partnership

Friday October 17, 2008

Wordpress has added a new polling feature to its post editor that allows users to add a poll to a blog post by simply clicking on an icon and typing in a question and answers. The feature is available in the most recent version of Wordpress. There is even a short video available on the Wordpress.com blog to help you learn how to add a poll to your blog posts in Wordpress.

I typically use PollDaddy to create polls on many of my blogs, so having the ability to create polls directly from the Wordpress post editor is convenient and makes adding polls quick and easy! I think this is a great addition to Wordpress. What do you think?

A very cool feature indeed. One more little reason WP is ahead of the pack.

I always use Wordpress for all my clients’ sites and I will experiment with the new polling feature to gauge what effects it has on interactivity.

Polls can definitely bring readers out of the woodwork, so to speak, and get them to join in the conversation. This is definitely a great new feature that will save Wordpress users time!
