The basic WordPress search is terrible. A plugin that improves it is a must-have for anybody, who uses WordPress as a CMS and not just a simple blog.

Of course I think the best search replacement is Relevanssi, because I wrote it myself when I found all the other better search plugins lacking.

This is a great post, and I hate to “piggy-back”, but I just published a piece that shares the plugins that we’ve been using as professional bloggers for three years. A few of the 7 we discuss include FeedburnerFeedsmith, Wordpress.com Stats, and Google XML Sitemaps.

You can find the post here: http://alwayswordpress.com/blogging/7-best-wordpress-plugins-that-are-a-...

Thanks!

We just released a free plugin meant for eBayers who also blog. It’s meant to allow eBay sellers to easily showcase their items to their audience, and eBay affiliates can display items that’ve already been voted up as most popular by eBay users.

Like other free eBay WordPress plugins (our competitors!), it can be found right within a WP blog’s Install Plugins admin page by searching the built-in WP Plugin Directory for “eBay”. (It has tons of additional features as well, like keyword auto-sourcing from post tags, inline keyword selection, no Javascript for SEO…)

Great list, thanks for sharing as it seems the best wordpress plugin of all should be the shareit plugin as it allows your readers to share your content.

After looking through your list (fantastic list by the way), I just want to add one more to the list – EzAffiliateCash Ads Plugin for WordPress. I believe it used to be a paid plugin but the owner has made it free recently; it’s an all-in-one advertisement plugin that allows you to test different popular advertising methods on wordpress powered websites. I personally have tested it on my blogs (WP 3.x) and it works great. If you want to find out more about it you can visit http://www.adsplugin.com

I don’t think you can find it on the official wordpress.org/extend/plugins list but it’s indeed a gem!

Just my 2 cents!
