Publish Facebook Page Updates to Twitter

Thursday August 20, 2009

If you are the administrator of any Facebook Pages (not profiles but pages) and you use Twitter, then you might be interested in news released on the Facebook blog today. According to the post (you can read it here), Facebook Page administrators can now publish their Facebook Page updates to their Twitter profiles automatically.

If you're not familiar with Facebook Pages, they can be set up by companies, brands or public figures (for example, musicians, actors, politicians, and so on). On the other hand, Facebook Profiles can only be set up by individuals. With that said, Facebook Pages are intended to be promotional in nature. A further distinction between Facebook Profiles and Facebook Pages is that other Facebook users can become fans of Facebook Pages rather than friends as they do with individual profiles.

Do you have a Facebook Page?
