A podcast is an audio blog post created by recording your voice or other sound, uploading the recording to the Internet, and publishing it on your blog. Visitors to your blog simply select a link on your blog, turn on their computer speakers and listen to your podcast (or audio blog post) rather than reading your post.
In the early days of blogging, video blog posts were also referred to as podcasts, but today, video blog posts are referenced separately as vlogs or v-logs.
