URL

Definition: An acronym for Uniform Resource Locator. The unique address of a page on the internet. Individuals type a URL into the search bar of their web browsers to find a specific page on the Internet. A URL typically contains an access protocal (for example, http), domain name (for example, www.about.com) and an extension for pages beyond a site's home page (for example, /subpage). The complete URL in the previous example would be http://www.about.com/subpage.
