How to Post from X to Facebook Automatically

Facebook profiles aren't supported, but Pages are

What to Know

  • IFTTT: Create an RSS feed from X, and then use IFTTT to run the feed through your Facebook Page.
  • Posting service: Use Buffer, Later, Hootsuite, or CoSchedule to publish identical posts on different platforms.

In 2018, Facebook issued an update that removed the ability to automatically post tweets on your Facebook profile. However, you can still use third-party tools to post and interact with Facebook Pages. Below are your only options for automatically syncing your X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook posts.

Post Tweets to a Facebook Page Using IFTTT

If you have a Facebook Page that you would like to update with each new tweet you create, convert your tweets to an RSS feed and import the feed into a service that will auto-post its contents to your Facebook Page.

Here are the basic steps:

  1. Create an RSS feed from your profile with a tool like RSS.app.

RSS.app is just one option. It's free during a trial period.

Remember to save the URL link to your new RSS feed. You'll need it later.

  2. Create an IFTTT account.

IFTTT (If This Then That) is a free service that lets you connect various apps to each other. You can use it to link your Facebook and Twitter accounts.

  3. Use IFTTT to run the feed through your Facebook Page.

Follow that link for all the details, but the basic idea is to visit the Create page, choose RSS Feed, and then follow the on-screen steps, using the RSS link you generated in the above step.

Another way to post the same thing on your X profile and Facebook Page without having to switch between the sites is to use a social media posting platform like Buffer, Later, Hootsuite, or CoSchedule.

You can schedule identical posts on multiple platforms to essentially post tweets on a Facebook Page automatically and vice versa.
