Find Freelance Job Sites and Become a Paid Blogger

By , About.com Guide

There are a variety of freelancing websites that link employers with freelancers.  Whether you're looking to be a freelance blogger, blog designer, or microblogger, you can find paying opportunities on freelancing websites like the ones listed below.  Just be sure to always read the terms and conditions of freelance websites before you apply for positions to ensure you understand all of the policies, payment guidelines, fees, and so on.

1. Freelancer.com

This site used to be known as GetaFreelancer.com but recently changed to just Freelancer.com.  There are always a lot of blog-related jobs listed.

2. iFreelance.com

This site is not as active as some other freelancing sites, but I like the ease of navigation and transparency of the site.

3. Guru.com

There are always many legitimate freelancing opportunities published on Guru.com, but you often have to be logged into your account (which you can do for free) in order to see all the details related to those jobs.

4. Odesk.com

Odesk has grown significantly in popularity recently. There are always a lot of freelancing opportunities to choose from, but you need to be careful. There are also many very low paying opportunities. You'll need to take your time to find the gems. The site is also a bit cumbersome to navigate as the search function isn't as good as it could be.

5. Elance.com

Elance.com always offers a wide variety of freelancing jobs. The search function works well and the layout is easy to navigate.

6. FreelanceSwitch.com

This site usually includes fewer freelancing jobs than other sites, but most of the jobs listed are typically decent opportunities.
