Affiliate Advertising

Definition: An advertising service by which bloggers display ads on their blogs for advertisers as affiliates for those advertisers. The advertisers pay the bloggers based on a predetermined fee schedule. For example, the blogger could get paid each time a visitor clicks on the affiliate ad and makes a purchase on that advertiser's Web site.
